PS is competent, PP is so basic its laughable. If the Shadow needs a lot of lifting I'll apply some Colour Noise removal (much more likely with my old 7D).Usually bringing up the shadows and taking down the highlights (I have Highlight Protection ON in my Canon) along with a midtone contrast. It assumes your image has a rectangle in it that needs correcting, which is rarely the case for me. Lens correction, where is this in PP? Even if my Camera (5DSr ) and Lens (Sigma Art 20mm f1.4) isn't listed because PS is way out of date, there is very useable manual correction.In PS these are the processes I undertake and in this order when I'm processing my work photos. Right, having got the 2023 trial installed I gave it a go.
